Burton + Johnny = Inspired

I am already feeling the thrill for my New Year's trip to visit my twin sister, Jennifer, and her husband Rich in New York City. While thinking about the checklist of must-sees while touring around The Big Apple, Tim Burton's exhibit at the MoMA is top of list. Everyone has their "fix" when it comes to art, style, and film. Burton's touch of dark, quirky, beauty is one of my favorites. Being the mastermind behind the reproduction of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the magical film The Corpse Bride, and my all-time favorite, Sweeny Todd, his style of storytelling and animation turns up my antennas! The costuming in his movies is always spectacular. Every detail is darkly calculated and lures you into the mind-frame of the character. Burton and those he works with (the handsome Johnny Depp) scream talent! I am sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting on Johnny Depp to portray the Madd Hatter in Alice in Wonderland.
